I started Edi Berton Design in the summer of 2000, with a focus on print projects for nonprofit companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to freelancing, I was the art director for the East Bay Express, an alternative weekly newspaper based in Oakland and Berkeley. Prior to that, I washed dishes in my college cafeteria, which you could say is where I developed my knack for working under pressure. My interest in design began while getting my B.A. in Architecture at UC Berkeley.

Currently, I live in Bernal Heights with my husband. We edited The New Bernal Journal together from 2007 to 2010, and we continue to work with nonprofits and community organizations in the neighborhood.
